With our experience rebranding several household brands in Greece, Nikas approached us to completely refresh their brand identity and we happily took on the challenge. Nikas started in 1966, producing and distributing cured meat in Greece and has since grown to be a true household name in the conservative cold cut market. A strong focus on taste and quality for more than 50 years made Nikas a leader in Greece.
One of our challenges was that the established logo had high customer recognition but needed updating to relate better to their brand story – a deeper more sustainable connection to nature and the land.
Our logo + key visual in one solution – inspired by Greek nature – was key to this rebranding project, uniting company and packaging in a refreshing, inspiring and distinguishable way. Their existing packs also needed updating – being very busy in an already crowded category. The new packaging design system we put in place solved all of those issues for the core ranges whilst creating more unique expressions for Nikas’ special ranges, like the premium cuts Fuego brand.
